VfL AstroStars Bochum remain winless after a narrow loss in Koblenz
Bochum, November 28, 2022 - The VfL AstroStars Bochum continue to wait for their first win of the season in the ProA. The team from the Ruhr area lost their away game at the Koblenz Dragons on Monday evening with a score of 80:86 (46:43).
The AstroStars started the game well and were able to keep up with the Dragons in the first half. However, after the break, the hosts took control of the game and ultimately deserved to win. For Bochum, Jordan Hulls was the top scorer with 18 points.
A balanced first half
The first half was balanced. The AstroStars were able to keep up with the Dragons and even took the lead at times. However, the hosts were able to equalize again and the teams went into the break with a score of 46:43 for Bochum.
Koblenz takes control of the game after the break
After the break, the Dragons came out of the dressing room with more determination and were able to take control of the game. The guests from Bochum were no longer able to keep up and had to accept their fourth defeat of the season.
Hulls top scorer for Bochum
The best thrower for Bochum was Jordan Hulls with 18 points. He was followed by Bogdan Radosavljevic with 16 points and Akeem Vargas with 14 points. For the Dragons, Dejan Kovacevic was the most successful thrower with 21 points.
Outlook: Home game against Leverkusen on Saturday
The AstroStars will have the opportunity to make amends for the defeat in Koblenz on Saturday. Then they will receive the Bayer Giants Leverkusen in the AstroArena. The game starts at 7 p.m.
