By Dalton Trigg

February 8, 2024, 8:50 AM EST - With the NBA trade deadline fast approaching on Thursday, the Dallas Mavericks are reportedly pursuing Charlotte Hornets forward PJ Washington, while the Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as the favorites to acquire Andre Drummond from the Brooklyn Nets.

According to league sources, the Mavericks are interested in adding Washington to their roster to bolster their frontcourt depth. The 24-year-old forward has averaged 12.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game this season, providing a versatile presence on both ends of the court.

Meanwhile, the 76ers are considered the frontrunners to land Drummond, a 29-year-old center who has a proven track record as a rebounding and defensive force. Drummond has averaged 10.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game this season, and his size and physicality would be a valuable addition to Philadelphia's frontcourt.

Other teams that have been linked to Drummond include the Washington Wizards, who are reportedly exploring a deal that would send Daniel Gafford to Brooklyn in exchange for the center.

As the trade deadline nears, the NBA landscape is expected to undergo significant changes. Keep an eye on the Mavericks and 76ers as potential destinations for Washington and Drummond, respectively.
